A video tour of the work shop
The last week I’ve been working on a video tour of the work shop as well as presenting a few of my favorite pieces. Working with video is new to me although I’ve been composing music in the past so at least some of the concepts are the same. I must admit that I’ve enjoyed the process and hope that you will get a good sense of both my work shop, my works and the passion that I have for it.
Most of the video footage was shot with my iPhone 4S, my brother took the one of me with his Xpreria phone and my works are pictures taken with my Canon Mark 5D Mark II camera with a Tamron lens.
The music, a track called “Coal Train” by Triplexity, was found on Jamendo. It’s a nize jazz tune that suited my emotional state perfectly. The breaks are great for transitions and the feel is pretty close to the work shop. Another detail is the “reference” to my favorite saxophone player – John Coltrane.
Admittedly I feel I still have a lot to learn and I’m looking forward to doing my next video. Tips and tricks on keeping your hand steady while iPhone shooting is more than welcome – and maybe something about making a real “ending” instead of just a “fade out”.

Saying good bye to my first web site
It has been a really great process to go through all my projects and selecting the ones to be on the new site. One thing is that I feel that both the design and quality of my pieces a very high but also seeing the actual progress that I have made within the last year is kind of amazing.
Collection of old hand drills
Another recent purchase (which was almost a give-away): a large collection of old hand drills.
A box of chocolates, a box of old hand planes
Planning to do a new dinning table made me realize that I didn’t have jointers plane (a very long and heavy plane for make straight edges for gluing tables and doors). So I started looking at the local Danish version of eBay and found a very kind person who had an entire box of old planes for sale.
Burnout and a new work shop
Woodworking in my kitchen has been a blast but let’s face it – its small and makes our appartment an eternal dust trap. Since the building we live in actually had a spare room in the basement that has previously been used as a workshop my suggestion to rent it was approved. So for last couple of months I’ve been establishing a new workshop in the basement and I would like to invite you in for a glance.
